College of Liberal Arts senior James absolutely slayed his senior portrait session.
Because James is a former model, he didn’t need any posing advice throughout his graduation photo session. In fact, I probably picked up a few tips from him on some new fun ways to use the graduation gown as a prop.
I always encourage my seniors to pick at least one spot on campus that holds special meaning to them. As an anthropology honor student, James appropriately chose to start his session outside the Blanton Museum of Art. He said Blanton’s courtyard was his favorite spot to study while in college. It just so happened to also be on my bucket list for locations I hadn’t yet photographed.
James also left one of the nicest reviews I’ve ever received. It was nice to know the feelings were mutual about how great his senior portraits turned out.
“Tess was phenomenal to work with. I was so anxious about going into this shoot for my graduation photos at UT Austin, but Tess was the best photographer to work with. I genuinely do not think I would have had as much fun, felt as safe, and have been so happy with the over all experience and the photos, had I not worked with Tess. I am very grateful to have had Tess document my time and conclusion at UT Austin and the overall experience was beyond words. It was simply fantastic. If I had to pinpoint what made this so experience so special, I would have to say her kindness, flexibility, and compassion. If I come back to UT Austin for graduate studies after my gap year, I will 100% with confidence work with Tess again.”
