UT Austin senior portraits turn out beautiful no matter the weather – and this session proves that.
A few hours before Will’s senior photo session start time, the weather in Austin took a turn for the worst. I always warn my seniors that this might happen. The weather in Austin during the spring is erratic and changes by the minute. However, all of my weather apps said the storm would clear up 30 minutes before Will’s session was scheduled, so we both agreed to take a chance and not reschedule.
As I drove to UT, it was still raining on my side of town. I was pretty nervous I was driving to UT for no reason, but as I arrived to campus the weather cleared up. We started the session as planned, and the photos turned out beautifully despite the inclement weather just moments before.
UT Austin seniors are often nervous about cloudy weather for their graduation portraits. It never fails that if there are clouds in the sky, I receive a nervous text the morning of the session.
You can start your session earlier in the day, the colors around campus really pop, and I don’t have to worry about the Tower getting overexposed.
Don’t get me wrong, I will always be a sucker for golden hour and sunny sessions. But rest assured that no matter the weather, your photos will turn out great.
